Installing the GENSYS software package on Linux

From release 0401 and onwards two scripts has been written, which will install GENSYS on Linux automatically for you. The installation is made in two steps:

  1. Script GENSYS_INSTALL
Must be run by the superuser. Copies the GENSYS package plus necessary tools from Linux, into the harddrive at a location chosen by the superuser.

  2. Script GENSYS_SETUP
Must be run by every user. Sets up the search path to the GENSYS package plus defines a number of necessary environment variables. The location of the installed GENSYS package must be given in the argument list to script GENSYS_SETUP.
